Testimony from the August 28, 2016, Washington, DC "Moral Revival" Service on the Struggle for a Living Wage with only Part-Time hours

Below is a video testimony given at "The Revival: Time for a Moral Revolution of Values" Washington DC service on August 28, 2016, on the struggle for a Living Wage on only part-time hours.   A summary transcript of the video follows:

Kimberly Mitchell is a full time employee at Macy's Department Store, but she struggles to be scheduled for enough hours during the week to make ends meet for her and her 18 year old daughter. She urges the passage of two Washington DC bills that are coming up for a vote that address paid family leave and fair work scheduling that will provide a living wage for hourly employees.  Working people are reduced to being homeless. The salary is often just enough to pay for transportation to and from work, so that the corporation is serviced, but not the employees. People are literally dying for lack of a living wage structure.
