Testimony from the September 14, 2016, Houston "Moral Revival" Service on the need for Social and Community changes for returning citizens from incarceration

Below is a video testimony given at "The Revival: Time for a Moral Revolution of Values" Houston service on September 14, 2016, on the Need for Social and Community changes for returning citizens from incarceration. A summary transcript of the video follows:

Restorative justice should be about healing. Danny Sneed, a former inmate in the Texas prison system, explains how jail is not really about rehabilitation. Returning citizens are branded, subjected to employment discrimination, trapped in housing restrictions that enforce a return to prison pipeline, and curtail the individual and collective healing that is needed for the returning citizen and the community. Little is being done to change a system on the outside that lands people on the inside.
